It-Torri ta’ Lanzun - An architectural appraisal

Preface

This paper is based on an architectural analysis of the structures forming It-Torri ta’ Lanzun (1) which are in existence. Conclusions have been drawn about the date of the earliest part of the property, and on the sequence of construction over the years. However this does not exclude the possibility that an earlier building may have existed previously on the site, which legends regarding the provenance of it-Torri might refer to. Unfortunately, if any such earlier structures did indeed exist, no physical evidence is available.
